If you are reading this, that means you’ve received my request for HQ!! Winter Hols. I’ve never written a letter requesting anything before, so I apologize if this comes out jumbled or imprecise. Please know that I will probably love anything you make anyway, so don’t feel too pressured to adhere to my wishlist completely. Anyhoo! Here we go.

kageken (kageyama tobio/kozume kenma), gen.

I think I requested this pairing before, and I hope it’s not too hard to write! (If it is, and you choose not to pick this one up, I will totally understand). Anything with slice-of-life will really make my day (like really mundane topics like their juice box habits or them being awkward at a winter hot pot gathering or something). I’m just looking for some good, light-hearted fun here, with possible romo implications if you’d like. (Bonus points for Hinata, if you’d like to include him, or make this kagehinaken!)

iwaoi (iwaizumi hajime/oikawa tooru), teen and up (with little to no smut, and if there is smut, make it INTENSE. THE EMOTIONAL KIND. Destroy me!!)

To be honest, I'm not very picky about this selection because iwaoi is my lifeforce and my goddanged OTP so I'll probably love whatever you come up with. In-canon verse and AUs are both equally fine with me, but try to keep them childhood friends if you do go with the latter, hehe. Also, I don't really want to see anything about sports injuries (since I've seen a lot of that), but don't stray away from angst altogether if you think you can make it creative!

iwakage (iwaizumi hajime/kageyama tobio), gen (or hints of romo - it's totally up to you!)

Anything with them as twenty-somethings just trying to navigate the messiness of adulthood together, as friends or more. Are they roommates in Shibuya? Busboys at a cat cafe? Pikachu mascots in Yokohama? (This is my favorite option, and if you haven't seen the pictures, here you are. It's a real thing.) I'd like it if you could keep this one in-canon (though it isn't necessary) and to keep Oikawa Tooru as an important part of Iwaizumi's life (so if you can, no overt hate of Oikawa, or excluding him completely).

(If you don't want to do in canon, I'd like to see something along the lines of platonic soulmate stuff, too. Like where they're bonded throughout history but not romantically involved any of those times.)

kenhina (kozume kenma/hinata shouyou), gen (or slight romo if you want).

Again, slice of life would be an awesome option for this pairing. Give me the doldrums of winter and sweaters and steaming mugs of milk tea. Anything with that sort of vibe. (I'd also like to see a platonic soulmates fic for this pairing too because I think that would be super intriguing to read).

kagehina (kageyama tobio/hinata shouyou), teen (and no smut, if you can! Unless they're aged up to their twenties - then that's fine!)

This here is probably the least meticulous of any of my requests. You're honestly free to do whatever you want here.

other stuff to consider...

if you don't like any of my suggestions up above, feel free to match any of the listed pairings to these other fave scenarios of mine:

• Anything with reincarnation. (It is my endgame fave trope in fic hands down, and bonus points if it isn't iwaoi or something I haven't seen before).
• Letter writing and note passing. Characters writing to each other as pen pals? Confessions and love letters? Sign me the fuck up.
• Mementos. Anything with sentimental little keepsakes.
• Historical era AUs - Heian? Taisho? Right when Japan first re-opens up to the world with Commodore Matthew Perry in the 1800's? Yes please!!
• Anything using Tokyo (or another large city) as a backdrop. Anything using the friends-to-lovers trope in this setting will probably kill me. (go ahead and kill me tho)
  
• Japanese mythology, folklore adaptations.
• I love angst. Give me emotions, heaps of them, if you find it appropriate. I also don't mind major character deaths (but just tag it for others!)
  
• String lights. Stars. Night scenes.
• Ghosts. Dang I love ghosts

As for the things I don't like, just be sure not to include the following:

• underage sexytimes, BDSM, non-con or dub-con situations
  
• over-westernization (ex. like kagehina going to olive garden or something)
  
• cancer sick fics
  
• physical abuse
  
• sexual harassment on public transportation
  
• CALLING OIKAWA TOORU TRASH IN IWAOI/OIKAWA RELATED WORKS
